Dorothy S. Gnann

Dorothy S. Gnann, 93, died early Thursday morning November 20, 2007 in her residence. She was born in Savannah on March 27, 1914 the daughter of William George Gnann and Pearl Rahn Gnann. She was one of 11 siblings and is survived by her sister Elsie Gnann Deane of Savannah as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy Gnann was one of the last two surviving charter members of the Georgia Salzburg Society, her sister Elsie Deane, being the last.
Dorothy Gnann graduated from Salem Academy in Winston Salem, North Carolina and Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. She worked as an executive secretary at Union Camp in Savannah.
She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, Savannah, Georgia. There will be a family attended grave-side service at Bonaventure Cemetery at 11:00 AM on November 23, 2007.
